This Tuesday, 1st July, is Canada Day.
It's a long weekend for me, because Monday is an optional day in my school, I can go to school as usual or not, and Tuesday is a holiday.
So my host family invited me to go camping with them.
The campground is close to Langley, which is a small historic town.
Because it was the first time I went on a trip with my host family, I was pretty excited.
But things often don't turn out the way you planned.

As soon as we arrived, we found there were so many mosquitoes.
We still set up our trailer and tent though.

↘Arianna and Cameron, surrounded by mosquitoes, tried to smile for the picture.

We stayed there for one night, and then we were totally fed up about these mosquitoes.
U might say, "Hey, they are just mosquitoes! I mean, how much can they hurt u?"
No! Trust me, u r WRONG! I squished two mosquitoes by accident.
One was killed when I put my bag on the chair, and the other was killed when I scratched my nose .

Anyway, we went home on Sunday and visited another campground, close to Whitrock, on Monday.
This one was a really nice place to stay!
There were a small pool where u can go swimming or lie on a deck chair, and read a book.

↘When we arrived, one of my home mom's friends has been camping there for 2 days.
This is her son, 7 years old. He was wearing flippers and goggles. He is very cute, isn't he?

The most fabulous parts were building camp fire and roasting marshmallow.
The children showed me how to distinguish dry sticks from wet ones.
↘This was our work. U should put some paper tower under wood.

↘U should keep rolling ur marshmallow and never put it into the fire or it'll burn.

↘GODSHHHH....It looks so good, eh?
